  • Darwin Waterfront

Darwin Waterfront is the easiest and quickest place to head for a swim if you are in town, especially if you are travelling with Children.   • Leanyer Recreation Park

Leanyer Recreation Park is located 20 minutes from the Darwin CBD and is home to three huge waterslides, several swimming pools, water playgrounds, a skate park, a basketball court, a BBQ area and a lovely café to enjoy lunch. The Leanyer Recreation Park is another great place to check out if you are travelling with children, or you just simply enjoy the fun of waterparks.

  • Lake Alexander

Lake Alexander is a favourite for travellers when visiting Darwin. This man-made lake is situated in East Point Reserve and attracts hundreds of visitors daily to swim in its beautiful waters. Here at Lake Alexander, there is not only a beautiful place to swim, but also beautiful bicycle tracks, picnic locations, BBQ facilities, and the option to participate in water sports such as kayaking, boating, jet skiing and so much more.

  • Berry Springs Nature Park

Berry Springs Nature Park is the perfect day trip from Darwin, where you can hike through the woodlands of the outback and also enjoy a swim in one of the many stunning natural pools. Covered with trees and shaded areas for you to sit back and relax, Berry Springs is an absolutely beautiful area not too far from Darwin City. Take some goggles and you may even get to see some marine life swimming around in the pools!

  • Tjaynera Falls

Tjaynera Falls, or Sandy Creek is a huge waterfall located around 90 kilometres from Darwin, within Litchfield National Park. There is a 1.4-kilometre walk through the bush to get to the falls, where you will be amazed by the stunning views and the crystal clear waters of the plunge pool at the base of the falls where you can swim to your heart’s content!
